Mass Effect 2
According to Movable Type, this is my 1,000th post. technically, it's not true, as I have a heap of posts I've not yet imported over from the old, manual blog, but what the heck. Happy 1,000th, everybody!
To celebrate, here's my review for the paper of the Xbox 360 and PC game, Mass Effect 2. My editor reckons it's the best I've done so far, and that I'm really getting the hang of writing for an audience that isn't familiar with gaming. I hope you all agree!

Not a bad review either, and nice and big :)
I really didn't like that so much was removed from ME2, it's less interesting to me now that it's just a shooter (with fantastic dialogue)

Thanks, Hayama!
I will say that I didn't really notice much of a difference in overall performance when I spent ability points in ME1. I've come to the opinion that slight incremental improvements only really matter when the numbers are part fo the front end and you can see them at work, like Borderlands and the tabletop RPGs that BioWare draws its inspiration from.
I guess that might be why ME2 is more to my taste; as I didn't percieve the benefit of increasing an ability by a single ME1 rank or swapping one item out for a marginally improved other, I prefer the numbers out of the way in favour of action and drama, which ME2 does bloody well.
